A well-planned course, an excellent tutor - very enthusiastic and encouraging - and participating students. I’m sure we all got a lot from the course. No difficulties with technology or time management. It’s a pity the course didn’t run for longer as I feel we have only made a start. However, it has been a good start.

Yes. This was my first on line course with a leader. I found it mind opening. I liked the step by step introduction of the exercises followed by the advices and suggestions of the tutor. Reading the other students’ exercises together with the leader’s comments was most instructive.

I always enjoy these courses. Not only are they good for the brain and, as most of us are older folk we need stimulation, you meet such a lot of nice people. The tutors are always helpful. I shall do more courses with U3A Online.

I had started a biography awhile ago but ran out of steam. This course and some of the tutor’s helpful comments have given me a new incentive to get started with writing again.

I found this course extremely good. Surpassed my expectations. Peter is a good tutor and interaction with other people also good. It all started to make more sense as I finished Unit 5.

There is no more indecision, I am on the way to writing the kind of family history I believed possible but didn’t know how to do it. I now have a plan for writing and publishing my family group\\'s history. The exercises have been excellent in developing skills in writing and interview techniques.

Peter’s patience has helped me and I suspect, members of our group deal with different and difficult aspects of the course. His prompt replies and suggestions have been appreciated and always helpful. I still am not confident with Blackboard technology and Evaluation online but that won’t stop me from taking another course with U3A.

Without the patient advice of our tutor Peter Reedman, I would have produced a time-wasting boring account of an interesting family. It has taken many long hours but, thanks to Peter, my descendants might actually read it now. Thanks also to my fellow students for their contributions - they helped. I’ve always found U3A (especially the Australian ones!) somewhere between ‘good’ and ‘excellent’. This course is probably the best I have taken so far.

I found the whole course very interesting as I have always enjoyed the writings of Thoreau and Emerson. The Discussion Board, with the course with Tutor comments still in place was also a great help.

It provided a forum to try out presentations and have a group comment and sometimes suggest an alternative presentation and also more important how to achieve that in a different way.

It was enjoyable, informative, instructive and fun. The courses are wonderful and I have told all my friends. My friend from America joined and so enjoyed herself that she has joined up for more.
