It was an excellent and enlightening course. I found it readable, understandable and enjoyed the fact that Peter Rose was so quick in his responses to Discussion Board comments.

I am lucky at present to have the time for courses from home and have computer. I am computer literate and find internet courses useful so that I don\\'t have to catch buses, trains, walk up steep stairs or drive in unfamiliar places. I\\'m not isolated as such and it is convenient. I learned quite a lot with this course, especially about creoles, pidgin and development of languages - I was not aware of creoles in Australia. It is a very good course and Peter Rose is a good support with comments on Discussion Board.

I would like to say how much I enjoyed the course. It was both interesting and informative. Peter Rose always replies to posts on the Discussion Forum. I am torn between the Shakespeare or Romans courses now. Thank you.

I found the course most interesting, and being self regulating, was undemanding as befits someone heading towards senility? I had studied some of the topics some 50 years ago but much of the information was new. For example, for the first time I feel more confident in coping with the phonetic alphabet.

These online courses are a great way to learn. I am \\time poor\\ with two school children to raise and self-paced is ideal for me.

The course was professionally presented and I enjoyed it immensely. There were a few down-loading problems & several sites unavailable. Some of the European sites were not relevant to Australia, but I guess this would be the same problem for any participants in the course. It was an 'easy to read' course and therefore highly acceptable.

This was a new subject for me, and makes me look twice at everything, colours, size, where, when, why and how. I also enjoyed the contact with people in other countries. We all have the same problems, but sometimes have different ways of resolving them. From the comments I have had, I am sure it has been a most successful course. Thank you Jean.
