The course content was excellent for a history "beginner". If this isn’t taught as a compulsory school subject it should be! As I undertook this course unsupervised, it enabled me to do each topic when time permitted - a bit plus. Am looking forward to "Australian History: post Federation" when it becomes available.

It took me to a new level of awareness and understanding - achieving the objectives of U3A to educate older persons. It was challenging and demanding - which was appropriate.

I have an involvement as a volunteer in guiding visitors through the Australian Botanic Gardens; this course gave me enormous background information (not to impart to visitors but to give me understanding to back my interest).

This course was extremely well put together in wording, photos and diagrams and helped me to understand the makeup and grouping of plants as I have had a lifetime interest in gardening as a hobby.

I just wanted to let you know that even though I don\\'t appear to have participated very well in the above course I have enjoyed what I have been able to do immensely. My husband passed away on 25th March after a long illness so that may explain my lack of input. Most weeks it was all I could do just to read your notes and I found your suggestion of reading them more than once most helpful. I am hoping to do the Botany course later in the year. So thank you very much for the course.

The course leader was a professional botanist and academic who provided stimulating course material and wonderful support while maintaining an easy-going and encouraging way of communicating . To cover so much ground in eight weeks was a bit much for me but I felt privileged to have been under the tutelage of Betsy Jackes. Long may she continue to change the way we look at Australian plant life.

I decided to do the course self-paced because we went away, and the course-led timing did not suit me. I am very impressed with the quality of the course materials -- how lucky I am to be able to learn this material for no cost!!

I have studied a lot of books and magazines on astronomy but none of them are as clear as this course in the how to do it parts.

This was a course lead by me with downloaded notes over an 8 week period with a U3A Online Site Licence. Very well written, illustrated and referenced. Language easy to follow and pitched just right for U3A students. Thank you.

The Astronomy course was interesting and well put together and led to much further study. The extensive provision of links to related material was very helpful.
