Managing Medications for People with Dementia

Discussion Topics:

A group of multi-disciplinary researchers from the University of Wollongong have developed a website to help people living with a dementia, and their
carers, manage their medications. Accurate medication management is important because mistakes can lead to health problems, hospitalisation and in extreme cases death.
This site is novel in that it presents the content in not only English, but also Italian and Macedonian – with plans to add other languages in the future.  We know that there is generally little support for informal caregivers from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, so this site attempts to help bridge this gap.
The site is currently being evaluated online. To provide feedback or just take a look, please go to: http://dementiameds.com/ - the evaluation survey
can be reached through a link on the left-hand side of the screen.
